The Drax Arms is a well-known and respected pub in Bere Regis and has been managed by publican and local chef Ben Holden since February 2010.

As part of its continuing and developing plan of diverse appeal by Ben, The Drax has combined its traditional village status with a modern gastro feel. Much of the food is sourced from within the county and cooked fresh each day for every order.

The Hall & Woodhouse real ales are served to within an inch of perfection. And our friendly and helpful staff are on hand to ensure you have a great time, whatever the occasion.

Ben insists that all members of The Drax team strive for the very best quality in food, drink and service at all times.

So come down and give us a try, we think you will like the different feel this pub has.

Complete with ye traditional country-pub inglenook fireplace (resplendent with a log-burning stove) and those ‘duck or grouse’ low ceilings, The Drax is the perfect place to relax.

And it’s name?  Well, The Drax is named for Henry Drax who bought the Bere Regis estate from the Turbervilles in 1733.

So now you know!
